Cast of Characters

Jack Thirty-seven. A gardener. A little dim-witted, but earnest and sincere, trusting to a fault. A klutz with a heart of gold. He’s a dreamer who is more drawn to the dream than the reality. He likes to dream beyond “the wall,” and he likes other people who dream beyond “the wall.” What he learns is that sharing that dream with another person is enough for him even if he never actually gets beyond “the wall.”
Jill Thirty-eight. An internist. Feisty and business-like to a fault. She is clearly repressed and finds an explosive sexuality within her that is released by Jack. This is a frightening prospect for her because she can’t control it, and if Jill is anything, she’s a control freak. She does not trust that others will take care of her in anyway, and knows without a doubt that she will have to captain her own fate even to the point of battling destiny.
Bo Peep Forty-ish. Jill’s best friend and older cousin. Her mother and Jill’s mother are sisters-in-law. Brassy and biting one minute, sensitive and motherly, the next. She has accepted her lot in life and goes with it, never really communicating her joy or displeasure with her situation.
Georgy Thirty-seven. The Congressman of Banbury Cross and Jack’s best friend. A womanizing, sleeze who has completely sold out. He is jaded and gives the worst advice anyone doesn’t ask for. However, there is a charm and a wit about him that makes him loveable and attractive. Really, he is a very confused man filled with inner turmoil.
The Mice 3 hip mice that make up the famous jazz trio, The Three Blind Mice. Beatnik types, cool, happenin’ cats (so to speak), who have had their tails tragically cut off by the farmer’s wife and just happen to be blind.

Mouse #1 The bass player.

Mouse #2 The piano player.

Mouse #3 The drummer.
